Well ..  Well ... Well - Brett Favre is a Viking.    - Update

Just in case you have not heard by now, Brett Favre signed with the Vikings.  I am not sure when the deal was inked or announced, But I heard about an hour ago (6/23/2009 - 9:30pm CDT)

The good thing about this is the price of the GB/ MN game just went through the roof.  This will be Green Bay's verion of the Stimulus Plan.  Another good thing is that the Vikings may actually sell out a home game this year - Sorry Pete, we not making the trip for the Monday night game (Big shout out to Sneaky Petes).

Like most I know here in Green Bay, I am just about done with the whole Brett Favre saga.  The retire, un-retire, play, retire, really retire, oops I want to play again un-retire, play for the Jets, I'm done again, wait I might come back, Oh look now I love the Vikings - is getting  - no it is officially VERY old.

Don't get me wrong - Brett and the Packers had a great run.  He did some great things for the organization, the fans and Green Bay.  But let's remember that organization, the fans and Green Bay did some great things for Brett. 

Hats off to John Elway for the way he retired.  It is unfortunate that Brett looks to be reverting back to the good ole days when he could not decide on which side of the bar to be on - Knights on Main with Chewy and Frankie Bag of doughnuts.

I have made it a point over the past several seasons to go to the last home game of the year, just so I could say I was at Brett Favre's last game.  This season I will make not a point not to attend.  Thanks for the memories Brett, now go ride your tractor.

 O.K. - so he is now retiring again.  Been here before.  Don't be suprised if you see him in Purple and Gold when the V-Queens go 1 and 4.   - This was added on July 29th, 2009 - who knew that I was a mind reader.

And now he , BF (as he will be referred to from here on out) is officially a Viking - Whatever.  Once again all I can say is ENOUGH ALREADY!  I have officially fall off the "I still support BF" band wagon.  He will also be a great football player , but as a man, he is just a little boy.  Take your "I am playing for the game" attitude and stick it.  If it is just for the game then why aren't you playing for the Jets this year and why didn'tyou look at anyone else except the Vikings.  It wasn't for the dome because we all know how you and Domes get along.  I think this sums up how the majority feels...
